1. A Cuddly Discovery

It was a bright morning as Sofia and Lawrence happily drove through the street. Abruptly, there was a kind of bawl from some distance. Sofia had figured out that it was a child’s cry. She believed that something might be amiss with the little one. She requested Lawrence to stop the Mercedes Benz and he agreed.

She had got out of her car, to try and see if there was a baby anywhere in sight. As soon as she got out, the cry had ceased. She entered the car again, then the cry resumed. She had noted that it was coming from a trash container and really wondered as to what a child could be doing in there. She had decided to check out the container.

Her friend Lawrence was already quite impatient and grumbling at her. She knew what she was hearing was a human voice and wanted to detect its source. She had walked to the container and nervously peered inside. There was a baby wrapped in black linen and placed in a bag. Sofia felt this was so terrible and was aghast as to how somebody could abandon a child like that. With utmost care, she had collected the infant from the container and gingerly walked back to the car.

She had noted that the child had stopped crying. Lawrence was kind of astonished and asking how she managed to get hold of the baby. She had said that it was placed inside the trashcan. He was annoyed at first, then slowly calmed down and was eager to help. They had kept the child on a sheet made out of one of Sofia’s old dresses. Then Sofia had asked him to drive while she would carry the baby.

2. The Mishap and Findings After

On their way out of the lane, Lawrence had forgotten to observe the left side and suddenly there was a mishap. Sofia was thrown out of the car with the infant, and they landed in a nearby restaurant. Sofia’s face was bleeding. However, the baby had no injury. Sofia was glad and relieved that the baby didn’t have any injuries, but deep in her heart, knew that the child was from some strange source.

Sofia had recalled the black sheet wrapped around her and was sort of amazed as to why an infant will be so wrapped. With blood all over her face, she had tried to get a good glance of the child. She had spotted a tattoo in the form of the cross inverted. Then in a flash, it struck her that the infant was from a satanic movement. Perhaps they had used her mother for a sacrifice and then printed such a tattoo on the offspring.

As she gazed around, she noticed that Lawrence was being carried into the ambulance. The doctors were eager to carry the baby and had asked who discovered it. Sofia knew it was unique, but wanted to reveal the truth. As she was about to speak up, a stern voice had told her to withhold the truth, else she would be killed.

The voice also said that the baby was from the throne and must be kept by her. Sofia knew it was a lie, but was scared to disclose the truth. She had told the doctors that the child was spotted in the trashcan. At once, Sofia had felt an intense headache and expressed that she had planned to adopt the child. Then abruptly, the headache had ceased.

Sofia entered the ambulance with the baby. Deep down in her heart, she knew that if she handed over the child to them, she might be killed. The only way out was to retain the baby and watch carefully what would happen. She had recalled she had a dream some months back and was informed by a man that a child will be dispatched to her, broadening her outlook on life. Finally, she had woken up from the dream with a scream. Lawrence was puzzled as to what had occurred, but she lied to him.

3. Thoughts of Flight

The baby’s cry had brought Sofia out of her reverie as she tried holding the baby’s hand. Then the doctor had positioned the infant in the little tray brought. The child was taken away from there. Sofia had thought of leaving and again, she felt a severe headache. The voice told her to wait and see where the baby would be located.

She was aware from that point on, that this was from hell, and she might be eliminated if she plays against their rules. She had practiced a great deal of eastern meditation for about three years and a lot of this category of problems followed in her life. She kept wondering if this was an outcome of that meditation process. Sofia had walked back and instantly knew that her companion Lawrence was also brought into the hospital.

As she was taking a step, she felt a throbbing ache in her head. She knew at once she was trapped and this was a cursed baby to bring hell to anyone that held her. She was already deeply involved in the game and prayed that she would find her way out of the mire. The smell of the hospital was actually making Sofia feel more ill. The doctors had attended to her injury in the ambulance and informed that it was minor. She was aware she needed to see Lawrence, but the forces linked to the child were restraining her.

Sofia had decided to somehow escape, but fear was still present in her heart. She believed that no matter how serious the headache was, she needed to just leave the area. She had just taken a step, felt herself losing consciousness and collapsed on the floor. The nurses had swung into action and quickly carried her to the emergency room. Sofia had understood that she was reviving gradually.

Then the thought of the baby had persisted. The very same voice had warned her that if she leaves the hospital without the child, she would be wiped out. She sensed that this was weird and wondered why the infant was so attached to her. She sort of believed somebody else or the children’s ward could very well take care of the child.

Sofia had tried to recall the baby’s face. She had very beautiful hair and should be some days old. Sofia hurriedly arose from bed and had asked the nurse where the infant was situated. She was told she was located in the children’s ward. Sofia was very aware that she needed to get there, before the child was smuggled out of the hospital. There was a sense of immense urgency.

4. Encounter with the Weird Form

As she was proceeding to the children’s ward, she realized someone was crossing the wall stealthily and right away understood that the person wasn’t real. It could either be a ghost or an angel. She had looked ahead and noticed that the individual looked deformed, with large horns on his head. Sofia had only seen such a bizarre spectacle in the movies.

She had instantly known that the room she just entered, must be the one where the child was placed. As she slipped in, she had observed the door was swiftly closed and later noticed the man in black attire, with the dreadful horns. He looked at her, laughed and told her that she was dedicated to him while she was very young. Sofia knew that her mother didn’t tell anything about her being dedicated to anyone.

The man had kept smiling, but Sofia could observe it wasn’t pleasant at all. She could sense the presence of evil. He had told her that he is called Satan by the world, and he owns and rules it. Then Sofia immediately realized what deep trouble she was in. She kind of laughed about it, knowing that it was becoming nasty.

She really wanted to scream at him and then walked out of the room in a huff. He said that he had killed her mother, when she refused to adhere to the contract they had. She had sold herself to this man they called lord, and then started behaving in a very odd manner.

He had told Sofia that she might face the same fate as her mother did, if she continued disobeying him and that she is his property. Sofia had seen him walking out through the wall of the room and was aware she required to be extremely cautious with this sample of a fellow.

She went to the other side of the bed and had noticed that the baby was fast asleep. There was a nice smile on her face, as she slept. Sofia knew that the child was from hell, but she had to adopt her, to prevent the wicked man from killing her. She had observed the infant again and saw that her hands were moving. Abruptly, she had started crying and so the nurses arrived there. They had inquired curiously as to what Sofia was doing in the room. She had to explain to them that she had discovered the child in the trashcan.

5. The Nurses and Doctor in Trouble...

The nurse had curtly told Sofia to leave the room. Then abruptly, Sofia had seen the nurse holding her head in despair and charging out of the place. The other nurse had also fled from there, without saying a word. Sofia was aware that the evil man must have inflicted serious pain on them. Then Sofia had heard the voice telling her to meet the physician and ask when the baby would be discharged. She had left the room and was led to the doctor’s office.

The doctor was there, surveying an x-ray picture. Sofia had entered the office and wanted to know from her when the child will be out of the hospital. The doctor had told her that it might take some more weeks. Instantly, Sofia had seen the doctor clutching her stomach in pain and she asked when she wanted the baby discharged. Sofia had told her “the next day”. The doctor nodded. Then Sofia had seen her coming back and sitting right at her desk. She had looked anxiously at Sofia and asked if she had anymore questions. She didn’t have any other queries.

Sofia left the office and went to the baby’s room. The voice told her that she had acted right. Sofia had felt like cursing him and then realized she didn’t want to suffer that nasty headache again. She had gazed at the baby. She noticed the infant was smiling and like shaking her legs. Sofia knew that the child herself might be innocent, but the curse on her mother could have impacted her. Then the voice had told her that the mother had disobeyed his rule and had died during delivery in her house. The baby was collected by one of the agents and kept for Sofia. She had heard the man’s voice telling her that the child is from him.

6. Weeping over Lawrence...

Sofia had looked at the time and it was 5:00pm. She was really praying that Lawrence would be safe. The voice had told her that he had perished in the accident. Sofia had felt unbearable pain. The voice had said that he had killed Lawrence as he was against the adoption of the baby. Sofia had looked at the baby and started weeping, knowing that her lover had departed. How was she going to live her life now, without him?

She had recalled how it all started. Lawrence and she were very close buddies in the university. He had always been the impulsive and optimistic one. He was fascinated by her in the freshman year and had invited her to a party organized by the final year students. Sofia had seen that he was very passionate, in the sense romantic.

His concept of life was deeper than the rest of boys she had met. They fell for each other, but her family had disapproved of the relationship. On the day of the engagement party, she had lost both her parents in a tragic car wreck. She was faced with mourning. She recalled how Lawrence had helped throughout the burial and stood strong as the man of the home.
The doctor was walking past Sofia, had observed she was crying and asked what happened. She looked up, had observed that he was a young man in white and at once knew he must be an assistant. He said he was attached to the children’s department as an assistant doctor. Initially, Sofia felt insecure and found it difficult telling him what had occurred, but she could see his eagerness to help her. She had told Dr. Freeman that she just lost her friend in a car crash and is attached to a child whom she had discovered.

Dr. Freeman had gazed at her. Then he pulled something out of his bag, placed it in her hand and left. Sofia had looked at the little leather bag and it was containing a small bible. Then suddenly the voice had shouted at Sofia that she shouldn’t touch that book. She was very scared and had heard that the bible was really strong, but hadn’t read it before, as she was an atheist. She quickly dropped the bible into a trashcan and proceeded to see the baby in the room.

7. The Shadow and Visitors

The baby was merrily laughing as a nurse was playing with her. Sofia had gazed at them and smiled. As she did so, she had observed that a kind of shadow was entering the child. She had wanted to stop it, but realized that it might frighten the nurse. It may also raise some eyebrows that she wasn’t capable enough to adopt the infant.

Then suddenly two policemen arrived on the scene and were very eager to know about the baby. Sofia had informed them that the infant was dropped in the container, and she had accepted adopting her. The cops immediately said that they will be taking the baby to the children’s home until her adoption process is finished.

Then like a wonderland, Sofia had observed both policemen trembling greatly and lastly, they collapsed on the floor. Sofia had tried to help them up, but heard the grim voice saying that they had to be punished. She had seen the cops slowly rising up. They told her to carry on with the adoption and also stay with the child. They had left the area with fear. Sofia knew there was truly more to it than what meets the eye.

She had taken the baby from the bed and heard her saying something. Sofia wondered how and why a weak and helpless infant was speaking. The child had started telling her that she is from Satan and Sofia shouldn’t even think of harming her, as she would hurt her. Then Sofia had seen the shadow leave the baby. It became clear that it was the spirit in the child that had spoken.

8. Dining in the Café...

Sofia had told the nurse that she wanted to grab something from the cafeteria. She walked towards the place. As she reached there, she had seen Dr. Freeman chatting with some friends. He had wanted to converse with Sofia, but she was warned again by the voice that she should never get close to Freeman. She knew deep inside that the voice was kind of afraid of him. Sofia had obeyed the voice. Then she walked to the table at the far end. She ordered for a bowl of soup and some bread. She was ravenous.

She had looked at the soup, seen that it had a fly and was kind of wondering what it was doing there. Instantly, she thought it must be from the café and had come as a result of the summer heat.
