The four walls seemed to confine her as she took another shallow breath. She thought she had been here for days, but time had lost meaning long ago. Snow crunched beneath our feet as we danced in the garden. He twirled me and the world blurred to greens and whites, not focusing until he pulled me closer. His eyes captured my vision. Demanding my attention. He drew closer, his breath warming my chilled cheeks. I waited until his eyes slowly closed and let forth a giggle, weaving myself under his arm for another spin. The surprise in his eyes developed into determination as he compromised. Twirling me to my heart’s content until miss-footing brought us to the ground. We lay there laughing as my memory faded to another...
Peering out from behind the tree, I couldn’t find the boy. I stepped out confused, Where had he gone? “Boo!” I let out a little scream, turning right into his chest, and fell to the ground. “Danny!” I shout at him trying to stay angry, but I never could with him. He chuckled and after pulling me to my feet set a kiss on my forehead, “Forgive me?” I shook my head, so he kissed my nose, “Please?” I thought for a moment, “Fine.” He smiled and picked me up, spinning me around until the world went white yet again…
