As Bell sat on her bed, reading the letter over and over again. She was so shocked at what the letter said. Was what she was reading true or was it just some cruel prank? She stared at the letter for hours. Not knowing what to do.
Bell Mackenzie was a seventeen year old girl, who was a junior in high school. Bell was an awkward girl, she was very pretty though, but she was a geek who loved school. She lived with her mother, her father and two other siblings. Jane, Bell’s older sister was in college but still living at home. Jane and Bell hung out every weekend when they both were out of school. Jake, Bell’s little brother was seven years younger than she, so they did not really have a lot in common.
It all started when Bell was in Chemistry class, she was doodling in her notebook, and then all of a sudden, Austin Edwards walked past her. She dropped her notebook suddenly, but quickly picked it up. No one knew, but Bell fantasized about Austin all the time. Bell knew that Austin would never give her the time of day, people like him just never talked to girls like her. He was the star baseball player in her school, and everyone knew who he was and he was very popular. Bell was not anyone special; she was just some geek girl who loved school. No one even knew she existed.
After school that day, Bell walked home. When Bell finally got home there her sister, Jane was sitting on the porch waiting for Bell to get home, like she did every afternoon. They went up to Bell’s room to talk. Bell told Jane about Austin, and school, but mostly Austin. Then her mother called her down stairs for her to do her chores.
Bell walked up and down the bleachers. She could not help but think if this was a big mistake to even be standing here just waiting. She finally saw a person coming from the other side of the school. Was it Austin? She started to shake. As she did she thought back to the day this all happened.
After school the next day, Bell went straight to her locker. When she opened it, inside was a white piece of paper on top of her books. She was very puzzled. She took the paper and opened it. Inside it said ‘Meet me tomorrow after school by the bleachers-Austin Edwards.’ Her mouth just dropped.
She ran home to tell her sister, but when she got there her sister was nowhere to be found. Actually no one was home. She thought they were out doing some errands, so she just went up to her room and closed the door. She opened the letter again and stared at it. Reading it over a dozen times, she thought what if the letter was just a joke? What if someone was playing a prank on her? She could not figure it out. All of a sudden she heard the front door open, and her mother yell for her. She ran down the steps, saying nothing of the letter, she didn’t even tell her sister about it.
The next day when Bell got to school she was a nervous wreck. She didn’t know if Austin really wanted to talk to her or if it was just some cruel joke. While she was switching out her books in her locker, Austin walked by and smiled at her. She smiled back and blushed. Once the last bell rang, Bell was up and out the door. She was so nervous that she started to shake. When she got up to the bleachers she put down her backpack down and walked to the very top. While she was up there she started to pace back and forth. She couldn’t stop thinking that this could all be a joke and not real. All of a sudden she saw a person coming towards her. She froze. Was it Austin? She could not tell. The person got closer and closer. It was Austin. Bell did not know what to do; there was just silence. Then all of a sudden Austin started to tell her that he has liked her since freshman year, and that he was so scared to talk to her, because he thought she was too good for him. He moved a little closer to her where there was not even enough room for air between them. They stared eachother in the eye for what felt hours, but before Bell could say a word Austin gave her a kiss. His lips felt so soft and compliant. She could feel his hand on her cheek, brushing it swiftly. While her hand got jumbled in his hair. Suddently he let go of her, and again looked her right in the eyes, and asked "Bell Mackenzie will you be my girlfriend, and take me as yours?" Bell said yes immediately. They stayed together for many years. They graduated together, and went to the same college. Then eventually Bell and Autin got married, and had many children. They lived Happily Ever After!
