Awakening Summer to be taken down!

October 30th will be the last day that the full first installment Awakening Summer of my series The Guardian Epics will be available to read. I do plan on leaving up a bit of it as a sample, but I will be removing the majority as I am hoping to self publish soon. I'd love to have it professionally edited first but I just don't have the funds for that at the present time. But for those of you that have had the chance to read the whole you will be pleased to hear that I will be putting up the first 5 chapters of the second novel as of Ocober 31st!!! So please pass on a reccomendation to all that you think will love Awakening Summer so they will have a chance to get it in before it is taken down and the next books start takes its place. I was just appointed the admin and moderator of the group and I have started a mini contest to get more people and the existing members more involved. The contest guidelines are as followed:

vampires and werewolves < xxx3 Rename Mini-contest (please post suggestions here if you want them voted on)

Dear members,

This is a mini-contest to rename the group for a broader coverage of all things paranormal and mythical; unseen and unknown.

You can suggest as many times as you would like.

The only thing we ask is that it be original.

We will take suggestions for a month.

Then the suggestions will go to 3 annonymous judges that I have asked to aid in this. (All 3 judges are also members and are not allowed to suggest during this process)

After they choose the top three, I will repost a discussion showing the top three chosen suggestions and then you, the members, will vote on which name you like the best.

The one with the majority will be the new name.

And the person that originally suggested the name will get there book as the top discussion for a month to bring more awareness to their writing.

I would like to keep the original feel of this group and have it for all lovers of the unseen and unknown. So since I am the new administrator I would like to call on all of you to make suggestions as to what the new name should be. This group is a family and as such it is everyone's right to have a say so in what we call it! I look forward to ya'lls creativity and originality.

Hey everyone, I just wrote the prologue of a new series I'm starting. It isn't something I have ever read but hey so much is out there in the literary world that there is no telling where this falls! :-) I really hope you all will take a few out of your bookrix time to drop in and take a look. There are only 9 pages total in the book right now, so there is probably only like 3 or 4 real pages to be read! Hey all, I first want to thank you for all of your votes and support throughout this contest and now I am going to ask for the same treatment for a very awesome young writer that I have grown very good friends with. selish is the writer of Innocence of a Demon and it is currently the tenth ranked in the voting portion. I am asking you all to go take a peak and vote if you deem it fit, which I am positive you will. This book is a refreshing change in the genre we all love so much. She is very creative and bold in her writing. Going in places so many are scared too, but I find brave and a fresh change. Now the Get Published contest is nearing the end and I haven't asked in awhile from being busy with family and starting my second book, but I'd really like to gain some more readers. If you get a chance take a gander at my excerpt for Awakening Summer, but please keep crude, innapropriate, and unnecessary comments/bashing to yourself or you will be reported. I only say this as a precaution, because neither I nor my readers deserve to be disrespected by anyone on here. My dream is to have people from all walks of life all around the world love my characters and to hold a copy of my book in my hands. There is a 13 year old girl missing from a town (Colorado City, TX) just 30 minutes away from my hometown. She has been missing since Dec 27 and her name is Hailey Dunn. No matter how far you are from this little town even if you are in another state or heck even another country by now I am begging for you to be vigilant and pass this on. When law enforcment were first contacted about this they would not issue an amber alert because of a technicality. The fact that no one had seen any vehicle in the mix was the technicality. I am sick with the fact that they let it go on for so long before they issued it. The sick bastard could be out of the state or even country (being in Texas) with her in the amount of tme they wasted. Of course, now there is one issued but it is now in the hands of us all around the US and farther to try and help this poor child. I am going to post some useful links below that have further details and pictures! Could you please spread the word and stay alert when you are out. REALLY look at any child that could be her age! If I were any stranger I wouldn't fault you for staring a bit harder in these situations. And please keep her and her family in your prayers?!

I know this was a very long message but this is more important than anything going on in my life! Is there anything more important in yours? No matter how much you may doubt this person would tunr up where you are, there is no facts that she won't. Children go missing all around the world every second of everyday! And if we can all pull together in these times of need we can begin to put a stop to it. Are you too busy to take a look and just get familiar with the situation and the girls face? Can you not do a big favor by handing out flyers to the stores you are already planning on going to? Can you not set down and really pray for this little girl to make a safe return home, even if you haven't spoken to God in years? Only we can put a stop to these viscious crimes by being vigilant and down right nosy even if others don't like it, because just one busy body neighbor could have just simply seen if she was approached or even seen where she was headed if they would have just been nosy! Back when people were scared to be a certain way because of busy bodies and snoopers it was harder to get away with stuff like this! I say we take our security back even if it means pissing off a few people and being labeled a snooper!!! So please for the sake of this precious girl, just take a few minutes out of your busy schedule to even alert one person. Because if we all just alert one person then that will alert all! Thankyou and tonight be thankful for the loved ones that you know are safe and sound.

If you all don't already know I am the person ranked the highest in the Get Published contest right now, but this means absolutely nothing since the top ten get into the finals as well as two wild cards. I recently have recieved my first hater and upon researching have found this person say that vampire books are stupid. I completely agree with good critiscism as of how to make your work better. I also agree that everyone is entitled to their own opinion if your work isn't appealing to them, but for someone to come along and not only bash me but bash my readers as well really upsets me because as I said before everyone is entitled to their opinion. Not only is my book not a winner it is also evidentally not written well and my readers and reviewers are I guess completely blind and wrong. Then after all of that this person ensinuates that I am not only a bad writer but that I can't handle a bad review by snoodly saying that I will probably delete their comment and I need to open my eyes. I'm guessing they're trying to get me to believe I don't deserve any of this. Do I believe my book to be supperior? Of course not! Do I love it? Well it is my work so of course I love my characters and my book. There are plenty of books that I have read that I believe aren't getting the recognition they should. For example: Innocence of a Demon, and the one this person recommends; Orange Messiahs. They are both excellent reads. I even told the writer of Innocence of a Demon that I would graciously take a back seat to her book because she is such a talented writer. So I would like some of your opinions. I'm not asking you to go read my excerpt Awakening Summer or vote, though I do welcome it for some good useful critiquing. All I'd like to know is if as readers would you be offended if someone practically outright implied that you were wrong? Or if as a writer you would be upset if someone implied that about your readers? I don't mind the bash on me because their will always be people that don't care for your work. It is part of being a writer, but what I don't agree with is when someone applies it to my readers. I believe I handled it proffessionally even though I feel this person didn't. I feel a simple I don't much care for this work and I don't believe it should be in the finals would have been suffice. So please, I would like some other opinions as readers and writers? Like I already expressed, if this would have been proffessional and not mentioned my readers in a whole then I would have just let it roll off my back because I have recieved many critiques graciously (Like by rgabel. She is a wonderful person and writer), but it wasn't. Once again I ask for your honest proffessional opinions. Thanks for reading this long thread and thanks for any statements!
