What's new?
Instead of two selectable categories when creating the book, four sales categories can now be selected. In addition, we have implemented all current BISAC categories (BISAC = Book Industry Standards and Communications; a standardized category and genre system for books) so that the category selection is far more comprehensive for you.
What are the advantages for you?
You can now categorize your title very precisely. The shops can classify your eBook better, and by sorting it into several categories and sub-categories, the visibility of your title in the shops increases.
How can you use the function?
To do this, simply tick the corresponding categories under "Edit Book Info" in the "Categories for sale" field when creating the book. You can choose up to 4 categories. These appear below the box under "Selected categories (main category)". Please always set one of your selected categories as the main category. You can remove selected categories by unchecking the relevant category in the "Categories for sale" field or by clicking on the X behind the respective category under "Selected categories (main category)".
Your book is already on sale, but you still want to adjust the categories?
This is not a problem. Simply click on "Edit book" for the book and go to "Edit book Info". Here you can adjust the categories and then put your book back on sale.
What is the “Category on BookRix” all about?
This category is only for the BookRix site. Your book can be found on the BX page under the category you selected here. Your selection in this field has no effect on the categories of the shops.
KEYWORDS
What's new?
The keywords when creating the book can be rearranged in their order using drag and drop.
What are the advantages for you?
While some shops allow up to 100 keywords for an eBook, the number of allowed keywords is limited in other shops. By changing the order of your keywords, you can ensure that the most important keywords are right at the front and are therefore accepted by all shops.
Even with titles that have been on sale for a long time, it is sometimes worth changing the order. For example, if your eBook cannot be found or is difficult to find under the keyword that you entered in the first place due to high competition, you can now simply move this keyword back and put another keyword at the beginning.
How can you use the function?
To do this, simply click on the keywords entered in the associated box under "Edit Book Info" when creating the book and move them to adjust the order as required.
