What's your favorite book or movie based on Stephen King's work? I love the TV show 'The Dead Zone'. The movie was awesome, too. 'Carrie' is a classic and 'Silver Bullet'. Gosh, there are just so many fantastic ones! If I had to pick a favorite, it would be 'The Green Mile'. That movie is timeless. Any thoughts?

Great interview. It's really nice to get an insight into King's mind
I got lucky this weekend and found two copies of The Bachman Books, which contain the the now out-of-print Rage. I only have one of the four stories in this book. (The Running Man) I haven't read any of the stories in the book, despite having (The Running Man) already in paperback form. This was a totally awesome find.
How you found Rage is beyond me, but that's pretty awesome. I know the book caused some controversy, but a story is a story, and I'd love to read that particular one.
I was looking through the used book section of a thrift store. They had books in boxes on the floor in front of the shelves. I had found several different paperbacks that I wanted. Silence of the Lambs was one of those. Then my wife joined me where she found several Stephen King... mehr anzeigen
I have that one at my house signed by Stephen King himself
.. but "The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon" is about the best of his shorter novels. Or does everyone disagree with me here?
I haven't read that one, but would definitely like to do so.
Is an author too. She doesn't do Steve's type of stuff, but I enjoyed her trilogy.
Love SK. I think I've read them all, but I only read half of the Kennedy assassination one (can't remember the title slash date)and only the first quarter of 'under the dome'. I couldn't get into either of them and I hate leaving a book undone.
Please, someone convince me i should go back and finish them because of the story, not because I shouldn't leave a book undone. :-)
For the kennedy assanation just watch the Zepruder Film!!
no good??
The Kennedy one starts strong, but it does tend to drag a little during the middle. However, by the end you love how it all ties together. As for Under the Dome, that one does jump a lot from perspective to perspective. However, it gets more intense as it goes along, and you'll... mehr anzeigen
tell you how much I like those two books, and mostly because I haven't read either of them yet. Both are on my to-read-list, however I haven't gotten to either of them and might not during this calender year. When I do read them I'll copy and paste my review to the group.
Favorite book- I've only read a couple, and I'm reading the gunslinger now, but my favorite would probably have to be the Shining or IT.
Movie- Either Misery or the Shining (the Stanley Kubrick version). Contrary to Stephen kIng, I actually really liked Kubrick's interpretation.
Dreamcatcher, the movie. Thinner, as paperback & movie (OK, short film). Salem's Lot, MANY years ago...
