Do u think rehabilitation for the criminal should increase and punishment should decrease as these criminals are going to emerge in the society at a certain period of time and these rehabilitation will reduce deterrence of the crimes
That's the simple answer but let me tell you why. In my experience I have seen effective deterrence when criminals are separated from the criminal element but that seems to be impossible to apply in most cases under the current system of punishment.

I have four novels I have uploaded so far in a series of about eight or nine (or [possibly ten). One is priced already. It's the first in the Mike Claymore mystery novels. As I upload the rest they will all eventually be offered for sale in that series so while I am still editing them they are free. Number two is almost ready to be sold. I plan to hold it back for a few weeks so anyone who might be interested can still get... mehr anzeigen

Mike Claymore is a truck driver with a background in law enforcement so he does some security work on the side. He is assisted by his mistress, Trudy. How they got together you will have to read the novels to see.
They are hot and steamy in places, quite appropriate to a group like this one. I wrote them around 2000 when I was caught up in a depressing situation and needed fantasy to provide an outlet. I hope my readers will love them as much as my many fans on the web back ten years ago.
I joined Bookrix a few days ago and, since I write mystery novels, entered the word 'mystery' into the search engine. Imagine my shock when I got 0 response. I was rushed so couldn't seek further at that time but I thought I must have committed some ludicrous error. Surely there were mystery writers on such a site as Bookrix seemed to be.

Next day I tried again and still got a fat 0. :-? So what would you do? Yep, I started a group called Sleuths Unlimited. :-P When I came in today I sought a way to add tag words to the group so the search engine would find it. I changed the title to, "Sleuths Unlimited: crime fiction". Then I tried that in the search engine and guess what I came up with? :-? You guessed it... this group! :D
I'm sure there is room for two excellent crime groups. I'm sure our styles vary since the field is so wide. Perhaps we can use that to help each other.
I find this group quite interesting. A hope more people will join soon. I don't think there are a lot of authors who tackle this genre.
I have written a short story for the Flash Fiction contest about an assassin and I am considering expanding the story as I feel it has potential to be an interesting read.
Here is a link, take a look if you have time and any feedback will be more that welcomed.

This area is for general crime. This could be about thieves, burglars, hijackings. What ever the crime it can be found here.
I know some of us out there have had an idea rolling around in there creative heads about some criminal element be it a master thief, or a story of some lowly burglar making his way through life.
Come inside and lets talk about it see if we can help you bring this element to justice.
In here you can talk about anything pertaining to Detective writing. If you just have an idea or if your currently working on something and maybe need some inspiration.
Maybe you just need some ideas as to where you can research certain aspects for your writing.

Setting: LOUISVILLE, KENTUCKY
A killer lose on the city and none of the murders seem to have anything incoming, expect to a young CSI investigator. Suspects and assailants from some old cold cases have been showing up dead, each killed in different ways, each having no connection except the all went free on tenacalities. However, the young CSI investigator believes them to be related somehow, she just doesn't know how.
Each victim was killed in the same manner as the victims in cold cases, with the type of weapon, only the balsitics didn't match the ones on file. She is certain a serial killer is at work, without physical evidence or balsitics to connect them she can't convence her superiors.

Ok RK, I'm reading your novel, Time for a Serial Killer.
So far I am enjoying your ideas but my enjoyment is hampered by spelling and grammatical errors. You are likely aware of that. A lot of authors have to struggle to clean up all the errors in their manuscripts.

I could help you with your editing if you would work with me on mine. I think you will like my novels about a truck driver that does some sleuthing on the side. Since I have a history in law enforcement and you are a truck driver we should be able to click right off the bat. I also have done some trucking in my day, as have my brothers and our dad.
Let me know what you think when you come in again.
:-D
