Although I am young, I found this book to be interesting, to say the least. The one idea I just can't wrap my head around is the 'presence of an absence of a non-existence'. If you could try to explain a little more, that would help a lot. <--(I mean this as an I don't understand, not trying to be rude in any way)

I had much fun reading your essay.
Encountering the Nothing is the most essential insight.
Hegel needed it as dialectical antipod to Something.
Schopenhauer was deeply critizising all systems of being - and landed in pessimism while Marx didn`t follow Schopenhauer, but Hegel. Schopenghauer`s approach was by categories of being - this exactly does taoism NOT. They have no name for it except the wuwai thing...
And Heidegger was asking for Nothing because he was deep into being, being in time...

Nothing can`t be dscribed in terms of being, for even a name turnes the Nothing into Something.

The Nothing in Buddhism is not a thing in terms of Something - it is the insight of maya.

Any ontological attempt to catch Nothing must fail - it leads to sadness. Now sadness is not the natural emenation of Nothing, but Something misunderstood. Nothing is the natural state where all comes from, or shall we say: all existing is only theater, comedia divina, not based on something important.

Did I read an apology for pessimism? Why? Because you hate playing theater? Because you hate existence out of awareness of ignoramus?

Your nice essay is revealing you - you must be still a young man, full of fire and struggling and you come as if you are on a mission.

Relax, Mr Filatov, relax. Once you have kids - Schopenhauer was a lone eagle and once beat up his neighbour, a lady - any pessimistic guessing will lose it`s taste. Even Cioran was in private a funny man, did you know that?
