The right question to pose is what drives this antipathy of the opposite
party? What drives liberals to react with anger at the GOP, and the
Trumpification of the GOP in particular? Is that anger irrational? Perhaps,
but honesty requires to point out that Trump is not an admirable human being,
there is much to detest in him and in consequence there is little empathy for
Trump supporters from those opposed to him. Now, what is it about liberals
that drives Trump supporters up the wall? I for one, have difficulty seeing
beyond liberal support for those that are not ""real"" Americans who Trumpists
blame for their own personal problems and anything that ails the US. What I
find disturbing is how many pundits are unwilling to point out the asymmetry
between both groups.
