Whenever the subject of the homeless comes up, there is this base assumption
that choosing public shelter necessarily poses real, significant dangers...as
if shelters cannot possibly be made safe This is nonsense. We dont accept
widespread danger in our schools, hospitals, or transportation systems. The
homeless deserve nothing less than what is offered users of our other public
institutions.
