gone berserk. There’s the American rub: an overwhelmingly accommodating
population diluted by an insidious faction that wants America to be a wild,
lethally unpredictable place where it can manifest its worst excesses.
Donald Trump is the quintessential insidiously wild, lethally unpredictable,
manifestation of worst excess. Appallingly, Trump is not unique, he is a
global phenomenon and emblematic of his ilk of so-called elites. However, it
is only in bold, brash, beautiful, America where he has the latitude to put
the elitist wish list into action.
Here, in Canada, Justin Trudeau is a deeply unpopular prime minister. His
crocodile tears for select causes embarrass even the most liberal Canadians.
His role, as far as I am concerned, is to protect a status quo left over from
the days of imperialism, using the plight of minorities as a decoy. He seeks
to preserve an old order where Trump wants to dismantle it. Both are equally
odious doctrines. Trudeau denies social justice by his maintenance of
anachronistic establishment institutions, Trump threatens anarchy and division
by destroying such. The ordinary people of each nation are trapped firmly in
the middle.
