Dear girl, please stop criticizing yourself at the end of the chapters. Never doubt what you write. Write for yourself more than others. If you love it. That's all that matters.

Your story is so sweet and it has pulled me in. I can't believe Colin is wondering if it's his Violet. LOL. Guys are so clueless. You captured that well.

I'm looking forward to reading more. :D

It's really sweet. I love the idea of this, about a girl who is unable to speak yet has figured out a way to make her presence known, if not who she is.

Because it's an early attempt at writing, I won't say much about the grammar, which I'm sure you'll fix as time goes on. But I do need to mention a minor thing. When you're writing dialogue, make sure the dialogue tag is in the same paragraph as the words spoken. I noticed you put them in another paragraph. Check out the way professionally published books handle it and you'll see what I mean. Other than that, though, your story line has just enough intrigue to keep the reader's interest, and that's a great way to start!
