I never wanted the story to end.

Lol, no... Pluto is a tiny ice cube too far from the sun for much more than massive snowmen. :) As is Mars, and Venus we'd all crisp. :) There will, however, be colonies in the series on both Mars and Jupiter's moon Io, as well as the moon and a few other places. :)

Calypso is a dual-planet orbit quite a few stars away (thus the twin planet). The two act like magnet balls in your hand, swinging around each other as they orbit. Its day is 30 hours long and its year roughly 360 days, so it's slightly closer to its sun, though its sun is not as hot as ours. Thus, its tropical climate on most of the planet's habitable region (a band of broken up continents throughout the center with smaller chunks - like Iceland's size - scattered throughout the remainder of the oceans).

Whenever I try to create any science-fiction world, I do my best to adhere to the laws of physics. Obviously, some parts are still a mystery, like the pterybirds and their ability to fly without obvious wings. But, the majority and the foundation of the story I try to keep within possible bounds. Thus, the planet is a plausible planet, the universe is fairly realistic (with Calypso being the first colonized planet outside of our solar system), and the creatures fairly true to biological form. :)

You never know, though. Maybe you can create a world on Pluto or Mars or Venus! Thanks for the comment! Anything (within science) is possible. And if that's not enough, break it out into fantasy!

pterodactyls are dinosaurs, yes. :) "ptero" in Greek means "wings," if I remember correctly. Pterybirds in Calypso are actually based on dinoflagellates, primarily one called "Ceratium." There's a picture here: http://dinosaurs.wikia.com/wiki/Dinoflagellate.

I love that! :) And once Calypso is published, it'll all flow. Green World will be the background of what happened to Earth, so that the universe is more fleshed out.

Thank you. :) Yes... I typed the first draft with a computer that had no "t" key, and lost a few more letters along the way.
