Tia, the last Sky Child with demonic powers, had committed the unforgivable crime. She killed a policeman by biting his throat out. Instead, she uses her gifts to escape, meeting other demons, hunters, and a few kind people in what she had formerly understood to be a nasty sphere of existence. She also learns that sometimes one must trust an enemy.

Sky Lord is a fantasy novel with science fiction steam punk elements. The story Sky Lord is about the self-discovery of an ignorant slave who learns that freedom is not escaped to, but created.
