Eighteen-year-old Havyn Allison's life isn't as easy as you think. Being an "emo" black girl, she gets picked on at school for being different and her dad doesn't approve of her lifestyle. And she's really has trust issues when it comes to guys and believes love will never find her. But, on September 16th, everything changes. A new kid, sexy yet mysterious Elliott Gray, comes to her school and brightens her already darkened life. And they soon become inseparable. But, they soon find theirselves going through obstacles along the way. Racism, family issues, and pregnancy find their way into their forbidden romance.
