Con frecuencia ocurren catástrofes en nuestro mundo y causan estragos: El tsunami en diciembre del 2004 costó la vida a alrededor de 160.000 personas, en el hundimiento del Titanic perecieron 1.522 personas, y la Segunda Guerra Mundial costó 50 millones de vidas. Pero la mayor catástrofe ocurrió en el huerto de Edén, cuando el hombre cayó en el pecado. Esta catástrofe es la causa de todas las demás catástrofes que han asolado la tierra. El pecado trajo la separación de Dios. Y sin Dios el hombre se hunde en la perdición eterna. Si Dios permitiera que entrara un solo pecado en el cielo, entonces irrumpirían también allí el sufrimiento y la muerte, lo cual Dios no puede permitir.
A Dios se le parte el corazón que los hombres, que él ha creado y ama, se hayan apartado de él. Con ello han escogido la muerte. ¡Qué terrible! Un refrán dice que “A la muerte no hay cosa fuerte“, o sea, que no hay remedio, ni siquiera en el huerto de Edén había una planta que pudiese remediarlo. ¿Y Dios? ¿Tendrá él una solución?...
