The only suggestion I would make is that because the reader, knowing the author is male, may assume as I did that the narrator of that story is also a man until the moment the youngster says, "Auntie," perhaps you could identify the speaker as a woman at the beginning. Other than that, though, this is a well-constructed story that has the flavor of one of Aesop's fables, an education for old and young alike wrapped up in the persons of the narrator and the "little lawyer."
