Just saw the movie Wonder, Patinkin played a great principal. There was a
scene when a bully's mother was a bigger bully than the kid! It really has to
be collaborative synergy with all involved. Kids have to be open to growing
emotionally and socially, and that has to be fostered at their community life
every day, wherever that may be. Even when parents are unavailable for
whatever reason, community means ""I've got your back, here's a safe place to
grow."" The students' communal reaction to the recent shooting is an example.
They are getting the support to not give up their cause. It's about the
journey, progress that can't always be measured into a statistic.
