Most definitely voted. At first, I thought that somehow you had been around me when I was a teen, and all the rejection and insecurities I'd felt then came rushing back. Then, you were able to give that encouragement to make Tia realize she's not who she thinks, just like I've been able to realize over the years. Brilliantly written.

I am very impressed that a 14 year old has the maturity to tell a story like this. Although it may not be perfectly written, the message is loud and clear, and that is what writing is all about. Putting your thoughts on paper and conveying your feelings. I have a daughter who felt just the same way when she was 13, but it took her a long time to realize how beautiful she was. Self esteem cannot always be fixed so easily, but you wrote a lovely little story that I enjoyed.

I believe that all of have to learn to overcome shyness. Well written story.
