From knowing the author and the things she writes about is very touching and heartwarming. She brings out the human side of lonliness and excitement of a new relationship no matter how wrong.

I love poetry, and I read it very often. I have written some and posted it but it is not very good.
There is something about your work that flows really well. It is such a rare thing for me to read a poem and feel the passion of the writer flow off of the page (well... screen). You are amazing. Keep writing. :)

I haven't read a collection like this one yet. It was like following along as her life unfolded (your life?). I was with you every step of the way. I enjoyed this style. In my mind it was more like reading a story rather than poetry. Life does throw some curve balls at us sometimes and the decisions we have to make are not always easy ones. Thanks for the great read. I gave you a vote and look forward to reading more.

Oh, one thing, on the last poem "My New Years Day-- I need man I don't have to share. I think it would sound better with (a) added. I need a man I don't have to share. I stumbled over that part, but I didn't notice any problems with anything else.

Intense poetry with themes of love, death and longing set against the backdrop of winter's sometimes empty celebrations!
