Incidentally, I lost my best friend to bone cancer 3 yrs ago. Her name is Donna. I think of her often and I miss her a lot.

Thanks Alice. Death is always sad. Two days ago I lost a good friend. He was 77 but really a nice character. He will be missed by many.

I guess I needed to read this at this particular moment. Death is so fresh for me right now, having lost my grandmother and my neice in one month. Also mourning for the son I lost 17 yrs ago. Your book made me see their deaths in a different light. I know that works of literature mean something different to every reader, and this just made me feel that it is okay to mourn, and I needed to be reminded of that. That I don't always have to pretend that I am always strong. I am human and I need to remember that humans have emotions and feelings, and those feelings are valid. Thanks Laz.

I thought it was bittersweet and sad. There was a certain loveliness to it, at the same time. I'm so glad to hear that your friendship was restored.

don't be daft, crazy stupid misunderstanding on my part which I feel terrible about, and when I read this poem I had a feeling it was kind of aimed at the confusion. But that's the past our friendship remains intact and I love this poem.
