I read this before and I didn't know why I didn't leave a comment. Sorry, so here goes. It was beautiful and sad. I felt his desire to return to her. It left me wondering if only too. wonderful drabble.

You write these things with the same ache as a Chopin nocturne. Your phrases ebb and flow like sighs. I love the way you turn melancholy into spirit-breezes then pull the reader gently along on this ethereal stream. Gorgeous, Laz. And yes, mesmerizing. :}
