I enjoyed reading the first chapter. It is light and a refreshing read. Perhaps consider adding something with a touch of unpleasant about it to keep things balanced. You write in the present. That can present problems especially in talking about the past. Othewise I say well done. And if illustrated I wonder how the story might spring alive. Consider . but it is only a thought of mine.

Now that I'm finished, I'm mad that it's over. It takes a good book to get me riled up, so, it's a compliment for sure.

First off, your writing style in this book is nigh unto brilliance! Seriously, it is really good. It flows well with the eclectic feel, and the craziness that Mel gives it, which makes the story. I love Fantasy, and I love new things, and this is definitely one of them. I like how you took such an old, folklore-ish creature, and gave a modern spark to integrate it into the twenty first century.

The fact that Cal finds his love in the middle of the woods in a five inch tall person is great, who doesn't love a story like that? I'm not sure if you planned this, but they get married in chapter thirteen, so that was in interesting and unexpected touch.

In the end, very glad I read the book. My only regret?

The I don't have a fairy goddess of my own to fall in love with :)

Man, I usually don't use language as 'primitive' as this, but...flipping awesome dude! I felt exactly like the phrase above, minus all the dark parts. I instantly knew I was going to like and I haven't even read past the first paragraph.
