These are excellent! Please, please, please get this edited and republished - it deserves to be noticed by serious publishers, but in its present state, they won't give it a second glance. Your observations are so well-expressed and beautiful, it would be a travesty if your talent wasn't broadcast to everyone.

well like i feel its just about kidna me in a way dumb things that guys say to me an i just idk... i guess i feel childish in a way when i wrote it an kinda brung back some memories of guys horassing me an stuff... but its ok

What was funny, is that she came home from school one day and said, "Guess what, mom! This guy in my class told me he'd always wanted to love a girl with green eyes, and I told him, 'My mother warned me that some kid would say something like that to me one day!' and I laughed and walked away. You were right!"

The first, second, and third poems are about some of those dark times (the fourth is a poem I wrote one night after work when I came home really late and went to check on my daughter who was still a toddler at the time).
