Well thank you so very much. BTW - you were off line (as in off for an extended period) I didn't get to tell you I'd finished reading your book! It was super and seeing my name in it made me sort of giddy! I showed it to my husband and said "Look, Todd - she used Lloric for your name...that's so cool."

He read the whole section (and was rather impressed) and then he said 'that's neat she even put in that you're a good cook'. I smiled thinking ... Aw, that's so sweet of him to say. (Because whenever I make anything new I always stare him down like 'Is it ok? Really? Really?' And he just laughs because he says I look like a cross between a mad scientist and a crazed housewife! HAHAHAHA

And it truly is one of my greatest fears.

BTW, I'm going to be working to put it into 'One Act Play' format and possibly entering it into a play/screenwriting contest. But I'm still sort of up in the air about it!

Yes. I don't think I ran across anything that seemed implausible so far as the 'watery' scenes went. I suppose you could say it was 'ship shape!' HEHEHEHE

Thank you kindly. I was actually thinking of turning it into a one-act play. I've never actually thought of extending it - but it is something to consider. The only story I've ever thought of doing that to is the one called "We interrupt this program...'' because it was a contest entry that couldn't be over something like 900 words.

I remember going 'AACK! But there's more - oh, well!"

lol well I'll be sure to check out "We interrupt this program" as well.

Thanks oodles. My next step is to turn it into a one act play. That'll be a challenge - but I think it would be a pretty good one especially for the smaller theatres around the Austin area - it's a huge cultural 'hot spot'. If I can create a trendy, heart-string pulling one act - it could do a lot for my career!

Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it. And I'd thought about changing it up but then I thought it's sort of like Titanic - you know the ship is going to sink and yet you watch the film knowing people you've come to care about in such a short time are going to die -- it's inevitable.

Knowing the inevutable truth of Vanished makes you sort of squirm. It's crazy after all you don't know these people -- they don't even have names-- so why do you care? The answer -- they could be your neighbors. They could be your aunt and uncle. They could be your parents. The unseen daughter could be --- your child. And that is really where the terror lies. It's the 'knowing' because it isn't real until they hear the knock on their door.

I know it's one of my greatest fears. I have a 16 year old daughter. She drives. And everytime she leaves the house, we always say 'I love you' because, God forbid, if something should happen to her or to me or whatever - we will always know that we are loved.

I'm actually considering turning Vanished into a 1 act play. I think it would be so powerful acted out on a stage. Whatcha think about that?

That sounds like a lovely idea. I'd see it, that's for sure.
