I loved the inner structure of your writing the paragraphs very discreet, very balanced it did not make you feel as if you were not ever going to make it to the last line before you could catch your breath.
The plot was superb, The point was brought up front with shorter paragraphs.
Writing is very up and I am very impressed with the entire structure of book . it kept the reader curious.

She did pull the trigger, when he started running toward her. She heard a loud bang and the shattering of glass because she missed him.

I like the drama , th build and the scene in the church. Pity the boy started crying and somebod didn't pull the trigger. Then that might be an even better thing to confess to. Good luck.
