This is a powerful bearing of the soul. For those of us who have witnessed some of the events you write about they evoke images long suppressed or better forgotten. You are a very 'raspy' writer (by which I mean you rub people the wrong way until they bleed). You do what you do well so who am I to complain. Good luck with your writing.

Hey Katie - checked out the Darker Side of Life. It's very good and very personal; it must be hard to share this much of yourself with your poetry. Definitely voting for this. You seem cool.
