Yeah, he skulked off somewhere, probably cluttering up the dark alleys of the City. You're right, though - I should send someone to go check up on him, see what wastrelly stuff he's gotten into now, lol! Hmm. Maybe I'll do a sequel?

I read the entire thing in just under a day. I felt like I was reading something written back in the early 1900s- the details regarding the clothes and decor are reminiscent of Anne of Green Gables or something like that. The plot twists were great as well. Though I do want to know what happened to a certain conniving character in the end- you don't say where he went after, or what happened to him.
Anywho... well done! :)

Review - I had to laugh. After your opening description, I thought maybe this would be more of a spoof on romance tales. Though it has some of the basic platform that romance stories use, I found you have mastered the craft quite artfully!
