Love Marmite... but have no shoes needing repair just now.
I did like the progression though.

It almost read as surreal; train of thought:)
I had to look up the word "marmite", being a Yank and all.
Gooooood job, John!
Pass the toast, please?

Review - Each poem/story stands on it's own in quite a witty fashion. You had words in the mix I actually had to look up the meanings for! LOL Different, fun and well written. Great job. Robynn

Hi John, I really enjoyed reading this poetic prose, which is not easy to write:-)

I enjoyed the snack, John. I am curious to see how my own creation will fare.
Cheers,

Thank you for the nice comments. Yes Rrockgirl04 your probably right but seeing as i entered it as the competition i was unsure if poems were allowed as i think i recall saying a story. This is slightly bending the rules a bit but hopefully this will have the requirements to be a story as such. I will be reading more work shortly just running low on internet allowance but a few days or so i will catch up with reading.

it is quite different to use "poetic prose" as you say. I really enjoyed it. I think this could have worked better as a poem, but that is just my opinion.

Clever, intelligent and creative. I really enjoyed the story development and word play. A strong entry for the contest, in my opinion.
