Thank you Robyn. I appreciate your reading my stories and sure am glad you liked them. Tahoe died this fall. This was one little way of sharing one more search with him.

The author is very knowledgeable about her subject and she was able to create a story that gave you an insight into rescue protocol but kept your interest. Never a boring or dry passage.

Oh my was I ever wrong. It would appear at onset that these nicely woven stories are particularly meant to depict the innate and ingrained quailities of Search and Rescue(SAR)canines. Suddeningly something dawned on me like the rising sun awakening the outcrop of Harney Peak.

These stories are really about the author, her sensitivities and skills and her sacred review of the serenity of the Black Hills and the Prairie, seeking humans adventuring beyond their scope of insight to their loss of mindfulness--people needing to keep their heart beating while desperate for rescue.

The author portrays not only her exemplary dogs but her knowledge about the complexity of S&R which challenges the strongest of hearts, a team.

I have worked in the Hills and the Prairie and have faced both the warm beauty and blistering contrast of the seasons. The stories are not immaginative; they are real and grip the reader like the author grasping a basket and rope leading tauntly to a wind-whipped helicopter.

Author, give your dogs a hug while contemplating all those rescues of people like any of us arriving at the peak of sunrise or the colorful grandure of sunset over our land.

Stories were great! And so was the detail that went into describing the different ER units.
