About

This course is designed to team entry level software development to those interested in the field and building an initial resume. The course was designed for my children's homeschooled education initially and then published in the event others would like to go through the course and achieve a solid starting point for their software development careers.

The ages to take this class can be determined based on the student’s ability to absorb and understand the content. Typically, a middle school child should be able to start the course and complete it over a year.

Outcomes of the Course

1. The student will receive a certificate of completion.
2. The student will deploy an Android app to the internet.
3. The student will create and update a resume.
4. The students will set-up a way to receive payment for their apps.
5. The student will learn software development fundamentals, skills, tools, and how to research unfamiliar concepts.
6. The student will complete several recognized certificates that can be used on their resume for future jobs.
7. Collaborate with the team on all problems.
8. Research solutions and share with the whole team to improve collaboration and knowledge sharing.
9. Document solutions in a shared Google doc the whole team can see and update.
10. If the team is stuck, ask the instructor.
