Jane Austen is one of my favorite writers and due to that fact I read "Sense and Sensibility." It is about Mrs. Dashwood and her daughters, who must survive on a meager allowance, after their father's death. It also demonstrates love stories of these sisters, but this part of the book was not interesting for me, because everything is written very tediously and you don't feel any breathtaking atmosphere. However, at first I liked this book because in the beginning it was said about their brother, who inherits his estate. John intends to provide for his wife and sisters, but John's wife, Fanny, convinces him to give them next to nothing. I liked this part of the book, because it shows the essence of people and how some of them can act with their relatives. In my opinion, this part is more interesting than the part where it says about the happiness of sisters. Overall, I can say that I barely finished this book, because it was boring for me. I think that the main problem with this book is that the actions are very slow. Thus, this drawback doesn't allow the reader to remain interested in further actions. I can't say it is as well written as" Pride and Prejudice" or "Emma," nevertheless, you can read it for your knowledge of Austen's works.
It's a great story. If you haven't already read Pride and Prejudice, Emma, and Persuasion.
