very good and also crazy idea to write about Jim Morrison.The Doors is one of my favourite bands :)) furthermore you have ended the book the right way-with the name of the beautiful,mystic song the end ;) that were my thoughts when i read it,maybe it was just a normal "the end" of a story....

Damn. I really liked the direction you went with this. Redemption seems to be the theme of my life; I'm always seeking it, trying to make up for my mistakes. While I do enjoy the music of the Doors, I don't really know much about Jim, other than he died young.

I know it was only fiction, but a story like this is inspiring in so many ways. Unlike fiction, we don't get to come back and say I'm sorry, or say goodbye (dammit, I'm getting teared up thinking about this). But maybe there is some kind of hope after all. Maybe I need to say what needs to be said before it's too late.

I was entranced by the tale myself, and the way you built your characters and plot, Jacob. Excellent story.

This was a masterful job and I was glued to every word. I hang my head and shamefacedly acknowledge that even though I was around, I never paid any attention to Jim Morrison and know nothing about his music(I was busy being a newlywed at the time). However, your story prompted me to look him up and find out about his life...which all ties in with your marvelous story. Well written, artful plot and great characterization, coupled with humor that made me smile.

One question please and you can answer here. Since I am not familiar with any of his songs, is the last line of your story the first line of one of his songs? (Perhaps you would write it underneath your story in parentheses, so ignorant readers like me can research the song and listen to it).
