This was an eerie, sad, page turner, the kind of stories I love.
A true-to-life story that had my emotions running high. I was on the edge of my seat reading this amazingly crafted tell of a couple on vacation in the mountains and their GPS. The characters, classically human in their exchange. The scenes and events that made this story so realistic and vivid. The voice of the GPS, became a living character in this wonderfully... mehr anzeigen

What an an amazing work of art, the scenes and events were vivid in my mind, the characters were incredibly realistic. At the end, I started tearing up, I felt so sorry for Robert :s

My coffee went cold on my desk because I had to read this story without stopping. The errant SATNAV, the stubborness of the male of the species, the inner strength of the female, and her heroism, all make this story true-to-life, and one that I will read again. It is well written, and is another of the good ones from your virtual pen.

I'd like to comment with some reasonable intelligent comment, but honestly, I'm speechless. This was SO good! The dynamics between the couple, the descriptions, the story itself was just writing at its best!

this was a great story, full of action but also sadness. Most of all the thought of what the GPS was saying had a two fold meaning. This it me hard because that is what I am trying to do with my relationship now.

The second reading (I did get a sneak preview of this) was just as good as the first. Each of your stories is a little gem...ready to be set in the crown that I hope will be your first book of short stories.
John Laird is one of the finest writers I know and this is just one example of his amazing talent.
I love the twist endings you give to so many of your books...and this one did not disappoint.
Amazing job.

Glynis, thank you for the great review/comments. After I read your take on it, I almost felt compelled to go back and read the story over again myself. Again, thank you.
It was my pleasure. Truely enjoyed
