Casey and her mum and ad live on a farm in Alice springs and are unable to afford to buy a horse for their daughter Casey. She attends lessons every fortnight at the pony club but she feels left out because the other girls have horses and she doesn't. In particular Rebecca who teases Casey because her parents don't have the funds to get her own horse at this time. Then one day Casey spots a black stallion in an open paddock and talks to him and Rebecca teases her once again until the horse stands up for Casey and scares her away. This book is about how this horse under goes training from Casey and eventually Casey will compete against Rebecca. A drama filled book which has surprises at every corner!
