Time is of the essence in educating young minds.

While I cannot say for sure Ms. Devos is qualified for her position, her
ignorance on many basic policies is disturbing, but I’m not quite ready to
declare her unfit for the position, nor do I criticize her support of school
choice for families as long as the results are there.

Lost years in education are not easily recaptured and public education has had
too many failures for too many. Maybe Ms Devos is addressing the concerns of
those Americans that are being failed by the current public education system.
I’ve experienced the disparity between public schools and its impact on my own
children.

Also, the Bernie Sanders neo-liberal, knee jerk love of everything European is
equally ignorant. Europe has many challenges that are often ignored by the
revisionists that tout European style governance as a panacea for all that is
wrong in the US more broadly and Donald Trump specifically.

Time is a thief in education and we’d be better off not pointing fingers and
collaboratively brainstorming solutions that put education first and foremost.
Disrespectful and disruptive students are entitled to an education as well,
but not at the cost of well behaved children. Those that disrupt the education
process must be segregated, evaluated and the underlying causes of their
behavior should be addressed regardless of upfront costs.

In those cases, time is truly a thief and the consequences to our society are
very dire and more costly.

Of course Ryan and McConnell are not speaking out. Trump's popularity among
rank and file Republicans is somewhere around 80%. As long as it stays that
way, there's no incentive for any Republican to speak against the president.
Contrary to the article, Trump has high credibility with Republicans. They
cheer his plan to demolish the FBI, government departments and even our
democracy. They agree with him that Mueller is engaged in a witch hunt. As
long as Republicans across the country continue to support him, there's
Republicans in Congress will not criticize Trump. That's why it's so important
to make a change in November. We cannot depend on the current Congress
suddenly waking up to its moral obligations, so we have to change the
Congress.

Dein Buch zeugt von Autorenmut. Mit offenem Visier attackierst Du in wenigen, aber unendlich geschickt gewählten Worten, wohl die versagenträchtigste Institution in diesem unserem Lande, nämlich die Schule und ihr alltäglich-borniertes Curriculum.

Beliebt macht man sich mit solch unverhohlener Kritik jedenfalls nicht. Aber Du triffst mit jeder einzelnen Zeile dieses poemgearteten ästhetischen Gebildes den Nagel auf den Kopf.

Das adelt Dich ungemein und rückt Dich in die Nähe eines Superhelden, dem man immerfort die Energie wünschen möchte, diesen ungemein gewagten literarischen Kurs durchhalten zu können.

Dieses Buch kannst Du somit bedenkenlos in den betreffenden BookrixWettbewerb schicken. Falls Du dieses Wagnis eingehen würdest, wäre Dir e i n Pokal schon mal ganz sicher. Nämlich: Der vom Dschaul!
