Typical Friday for me, but only because Fridays always take me a very long
time. Tried to think of Winter Olympics locations at 3d. The only two I could
immediately recall were Lake Placid and St. Moritz, so I went ahead and typed
in the latter, figuring I'd take it out later. Very FORTUNAte for me.
Remembered IPCRESSFILE with the PC in place. Just chipped away in other areas.
Had a couple of failed checks.

Never heard of a COUGHBUTTON. Was a programmer for over 30 years but never
heard the term SLOTTING. Not only didn't know FOIAREQUEST, I couldn't even
parse it after I had it filled in. There were some other unknowns as clued
also. Did somehow remember SVETLANA with a cross or two. No idea why I knew
that.

Thought the clues for CLOSET, ROCKFANS and DOZENS were outstanding. Good
puzzle overall.

Wandering brain department: I wondered if anything like ALGORERHYTHM had ever
appeared in a crossword. Yep - in the plural in a 1997 puzzle.
