As someone who loves the original A Wrinkle in Time, I can assure you that
casting for diversity did no harm whatsoever to the adaptation and is not the
central point of the movie. But it is inevitably something some people are
going to focus on: note the uproar over the casting of a Black actor to play
Rue in The Hunger Games--even though the character in the book was already
Black!

I don't think the proposal is that young people can't uses guns, just that
they can't buy them. It would be good if they had adult supervision.
