The issue is not only that Trump admires authoritarian figures and wishes (as
a narcissist) that he had enough power to always get HIS way. (Remember, he is
the ONLY person who can solve our problems. [NOT!]) The issue is that Trump
makes money off his businesses in these countries where he has joint ventures
and licensing agreements. This is all about money, and making more money.
Trump likes the support of these figures because it is good for his business
and in this corrupt White House -- where Jared Kushner can troll for
investment while 'representing' America's interests-- he's using it to pump up
his revenue, returns and personal wealth. Trump got into politics to increase
the value of his brand, not because he thought he would win, and so he's more
interested in increasing his family's wealth than pursuing our country's best
interests... and the rest of the GOP is craven enough to go along with this.
Shame on them.
