A Book of Short Stories

These stories are a compilation of 'boys own' adventures that in some cases take us to happenings during the First World War, whilst others lead us onwards through many joyous and poignant enterprises.

We have also included two tales of adventure from our Summerhouse Trilogy. This concerns the exploits of our domestic pets who of course, have an entirely secret other life – unbeknownst to their dishfillers. These intrepid fur and feather creatures also narrate the events.

We have been thoughtful of the need to remind ourselves that there are beautiful places in our own imaginations that we need to visit – as people once did in better times.
