Some good memories, but mostly bad ones come out of such troublesome times. Well wrtten snipet of such a time in recent history.

A good writer paints a clear picture for the reader, using words as a medium. CJ does a nice job here; I could picture the scenes she was painting, she achieved her goal.

Also, well edited and clean.

My favorite line..."she tattooed a vivid eternal memory in my mind." Nice. But before you get a big head, you should have used a comma after vivid!
