How does one make sense of articles on Trumps supposed Nazi sympathizing with
respect to Charlottesville, with today’s article of Kissinger endorsing
Pompeo, replacing Tillerson, the only rational player with an understanding of
the area; he did successfully run a huge oil company in the Middle East, had a
working relationship with the players there, knew Putin and dealt with
Russians for decades; experience and the ability to talk to people apparently
takes a back seat to bluster, threatening and offering the possibility of
actual boots on the ground. They may not have got the Woman they wanted in the
Whitehouse but it certainly seems they are getting their cabinet and advisors
like Kushner, Kissinger, Eliot Cohen, Robert Kagan, Max Boot and The rest of
the neo cons who are solidly behind Pompeo, just as they were Hillary and her
crew Victoria Nuland and Michele Fluornoy. If this cabal doesn’t scare even
Hillary lovers I’m not sure what will. The money men and profiteers will get
their wars with Iran and Russia, the men who want to dominate the world will
get their chance. Let’s hope The Times steps up their responsibility this time
and not give a blank check journalistic approach to the hawks as they did in
the run up to the Iraq Invasion. Thanks to that colossal blunder over a
million people have died, millions were displaced, Europe is fragmented,
Brexit and Trump are part of our verbiage and that’s the easy part; war with
Iran and Russia will be on our door step as well.
