You are correct about U.S. Government data mining. Does the name Clapper sound
familiar? It should, as he was the darling of CNN, but has recently run into

Why does less spending not enter the picture?

Oh, yeah, too many sucking up the cash.

When only 47% pay Federal Income Tax, and then the folks above 100K pay 80% of
the income taxes, the inequality is people not paying their fair share to run
this nation. And corporation don’t pay taxes, customers pay taxes for the
corporation.

Take the bills, divide by the population, offer a small personal exemption,
about poverty level, and see how the votes roll in. I bet more fiscal
responsibility is the result.

And no need to hear about red states not paying. The reason they don’t cover
100% is more required infrastructure per capita (the NE fits in Texas for half
the population) and more military bases (can’t have all that training
disrupting sleep).

In other words American women are baby machines. That's what Ohio is saying by
proposing this sort of thing. Nothing about a woman matters once she's
pregnant or has the capacity to become pregnant. Her life is nothing. Only the
fetus counts. Her needs, her plans, her ability to care for the resulting
infant is not important. Only a live birth. And if she dies in the process, if
the pregnancy was the result of rape or incest or failed birth control it's
nothing.

The blatant hypocrisy of these bills is disgusting especially in a country
that claims to value all life. Our lawmakers refuse to fund welfare to a point
where it really keeps people out of poverty. Our foster care system is
inadequate. We continue to allow poor children to suffer with poor schools. We
cut funding to programs that help mothers and children remain healthy. And we
continue to stigmatize single parents and African American mothers on welfare
but we offer nothing in the way of real help. Penalties abound, help doesn't.

The ones who will suffer from this foolhardy hypocritical law are not the
politicians or their families. It will be teenage girls, poor women and their
families, crime victims, and the children who are born as a result of this
law. Is it fair to any child to be born unwanted, to grow up unwanted and
unloved, and to be faced with that fact every day of their lives? As someone
who was unwanted I don't think so.
