(carbohydrate) addiction. Not all drinkers of alcohol are alcoholics. Not all
carb consumers are compulsive about food. But for those simply CANNOT regulate
their consumption due to addiction, we need a better response than “just say
no.” Sugar addiction is real for more people than I once thought.

carb consumers are compulsive about food. But for those simply CANNOT regulate
their consumption due to addiction, we need a better response than “just say
no.” Sugar addiction is real for more people than I once thought.
Also, grains (bread, pizza, pasta, cereal) and milk (esp. low-fat) are,
metabolically, sugar. Try telling that to 300 lb. people living below the
poverty line, and then justify what can be found in community food banks. The
US has a long way to go on the nutrition front, and Big Sugar has a lot to
answer for.
