I enjoyed reading your story of a heart warming and loving family who may not have had a lot of money but made do with what they had. The daughter tells of her fathers love for the sea, and how she admired him. The sea gave them their livelihood, and in the end took their lives away from her.

I thought it wouldn’t hurt to give you main character a name.

I was unsure of your title. I thought perhaps you meant Lost at Sea, or Lost to the Sea. There were a couple of places I saw where I thought you might want to check your wording. The sentence on :

Page 5: The word “score” (in score the seas) might be replaced with scour.

Page 7:My father managed to pass done (I think down is the correct word).

Page8: When she climbed the tree and she said,” Looking down I could not see my mother. I felt like crying.” She lost her mother, yes? I think you need a stronger sentence I cried would be strong enough. The sentence “No one understood my anger at the sea.” This is hard to believe since your whole family was taken, and your home was gone.

Page9:Being adopted by an elderly couple I was able to shift (relocate or move might be better I think) to Colombo. Overall good job.
