The idea of supporting Trump because Pence is worse is an interesting angle. I
liked the first season of the original show (30 years. Wow. Time just slammed
into me) that used her stand-up material (""Got anything for a headache?""
""Three screaming kids.""). What I didn't like was that Conners weren't
allowed to win. The bike shop failed. The restaurant ended up in someone
else's hands. Since Ms. Barr didn't want to say whether the show had paved the
way for LGBTQ characters, I'd say it did. They were just part of her world,
not singled out because of who they were. I'll give it a try.
