This book is about two girls: Chloe and Zoe. They start off using a shortcut through the woods to their school, when they notice that noweone is around, they want to turn back. Although they bump into a stranger that chases them, they finally find a hiding spot which they discover is the man's home...
The genre used is gothic as it can be a bit disturbing and creepy at times, although it is not a horror.
