Very beautiful and hauntingly sad. I almost hopped that Mia would say yes, but I guess it wasn't meant to be. You have a talent for portraying emotions, post up more work soon!

A clever take on the four-letter contest, and a mature take on romance. The prose feels completely unforced despite the difficult constraint. Great work!

That was brilliant. How you managed to write four complete letters that actually had enough four letter words in each of them to make sense and be moving and emotional, is beyond me. You did an amazing job with this, and I am thoroughly impressed.

Where do I begin?! I don't think I can even comment, man was that deep! To the best of my ability I'll say this; I guess this is one of those exceptions where Tom didn't deserve Mia, not that I'm sticking up for her, because he wasn't willing to work on opening his sensitive side enough to show that he actually loved her. But what on earth happened?!

I loved the pun, four letters, and how you created a full story, while still leaving space for imagination and guessing.

Not only was the story beautifully told, you doubled up on the meaning of the contest by doing in four actual letters as well as writing words of only four letter or less. Wow! Amazing, and as you say, very - and tragically - romantic!
