Hi Ravenwest -- PDF files are better because you keep all your formatting intact without having to mess about with it on the Bookrix page.

When uploading a pdf file, you can always insert your picture on the first page of your WORD document, and it will show up as a cover.

Hope this helps. I know you can upload a pdf file then go back a step and insert a cover from your desktop, but it does not always work.
