just finished you False Awakenings story - pretty impressed. For some reason it wont let me comment in the normal way (may be just my system!).
Thought it was a great read, really good and the horror elements of it were pretty impressive. One thing to think about is that Carl waking up at the start kind of gives you the impression that he may be nuts and is struggling to deal with something. Maybe if he wakes up and you and he are not sure where he is, there is still the soft and friendly voice but he maybe cannot focus beyond the fan on the roof. Then you cna flasr back to this vision a few times during the story and each time he sees more. Just an idea.
Also, for the 805 thing how about its the word OIL he sees and this in fact the time 710am seen from his vies of the upsidedown dash? I'm sure there are other numbers that would work.
Anyway, I enjoyed it a lot.
